Sponsors of the upcoming International Polyolefins Conference 2006 announced that Dr. Naoshi Kawamoto of Asahi Denka will present a technical paper on the Design of Clarified Polypropylene Utilizing a Novel Clarifier. Mitsuru Fukushima and Etsuo Tobita of Asahi Denka Co., Ltd, and Tomoyuki Funamizu and Peter Goman of Amfine Chemical Corporation are to participate.

The paper will be presented during the morning of Wednesday, March 1st, at the Wyndham Greenspoint Hotel, Houston, Texas. The event, to be held on February 26th through March 1st, 2006, is being sponsored by the South Texas Section of the Society of Plastics Engineers (SPE) in partnership with the Polymer Materials and Additives Division (PMAD) of SPE and The Thermoplastic Materials and Foams (TPM&F) Division of SPE.

Amfine was incorporated in March of 1994 by Asahi Denka Kogyo, Mitsubishi Corporation and Mitsubishi International Corporation for the purpose of better servicing growing North and South American markets. In order to provide the "just in time" service required by today's growing plastics manufacturing companies, Amfine established its sales and technical marketing office in New Jersey and a plant in Hopkinville, KY.
